This Tuesday, August 12th at their 4:00pm meeting at 1 Government Center, the Toledo City Council will be recognizing one of our very own, Mike Ferner, for his many years of tireless efforts to advocate for peace, justice, and human rights for people and not for corporate power.

 

Mike was recently honored nationally with the Joe A. Callaway Award for Civic Courage by the Shafeek Nader Trust for the Community Interest, in Washington, DC. Ralph Nader, the brother of the trust’s namesake, particularly recognized Mike for “his commitment to peace advocacy and peace education…in the traditions of Gandhi and Mandela.”

 

Please come to applaud this recognition of Mike by the Toledo City Council!
