Everyone's hard work came to beautiful fruition on the Global Day of Action to Close Bases last weekend!

There were 61 actions in 27 countries in an effort endorsed by 72 organizations, and with many organizations working together to plan, promote, and organize.

Check out the amazing reports, videos, photos, and media coverage -- and our highlights video -- here.

Events included protests, marches, banner drops, teach-ins, lobbying efforts, concerts, and all variety of creative artistic activism. The day inspired a variety of new petitions, webinars, interviews, statements, banners, shirts, slogans, and graphics unified around the hashtag: #CloseBases.

We're following through with the organizers and participants of each event to build, continue, and escalate the campaign locally to demand base closure.

We cannot possibly continue or expand this unique work that nobody else is doing unless we find the funding to pay for it.

We've built a movement to shut down bases, drawing heavily on our amazing online resources. We've successfully blocked new bases. We're inserting the proposal to close bases into the national discourse in a certain nation that is talking loudly about saving money even while investing more and more heavily in militarism.

We know what needs to be done, but need more funding to do it.

Can you please support our work by making a donation?

Thank you for all you do!
