According to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the private security firm Magen Am, which employs former Israeli military personnel, played an active role in the violence that erupted during the UCLA student encampment in April. “They knew that they could do all of this without any serious pressure by the White House,” Awad told The Intercept. “The White House — by this very action that they gave the information to the Israelis, they’re showing that they’re incompetent. They don’t have the resolve to hold Israel to account.”
