|

Despite hopes for a more just U.S. policy in the Middle East, Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, face significant political constraints. Challenging the U.S.-Israel relationship could jeopardize their chances against Donald Trump. However, Arab Americans can still urge Harris to prioritize a Gaza ceasefire and support the release of Marwan Barghouti, whose leadership could unify Palestinians and pave the way for peace.
