Dear Begum Khani,
The conflict between Israel and Palestine is developing day-by-day. Many Americans have opinions on this major Middle Eastern conflict, but few came to those opinions based on the full history of how it originated and developed over the past century, or the details about what’s contested and who the various players are on both sides.
With the hope that readers might educate themselves on the full history, educator and Middle East expert Michael Scott-Baumann wrote a concise yet comprehensive overview, The Shortest History of Israel and Palestine.
Recognizing that since the events of October 2023 it is more important than ever that readers understand the complex history of the conflict, Scott-Baumann has updated the book three times to cover the current events.
I hope you’ll consider sharing this brief—only 288 pages—resource with your students, colleagues, and connections. Copies and ebooks are available everywhere books are sold, and desk copies are available by request.
Best wishes,
Jennifer
