NWOPC friends,

I've been involved with the Witness Against Torture campaign to close Guantanamo for many years. But we've noticed that justice does not necessarily come with the men's release. Many struggle due to inadequate support from our government. So some of our activists helped organize the Guantanamo Survivors Fund. Read on to learn how you can help out during the month of June, which is Torture Awareness Month...

To help Guantanamo survivors rebuild their lives, the Guantanamo Survivors Fund hopes to raise $10,000 this June. Can you help? (http://gsfund.org) Please share this post with friends. Your donation means a lot to men who survived torture at Guantanamo and who struggle to survive after their transfer. Through donations from people like you, this program has already provided assistance grants to 39 men. But many more men are waiting for help. Your gift contributes direct financial aid for medical care, housing assistance, food, and other necessities for survivors.

Thanks for your consideration,

Josie
