The Chalk of Mass Destruction!
Destruction! 89 year old retired pastor George Killingsworth, (Berkeley, California) arrested by 5 armed officers for chalking a boulder with a peace sign during an anti drone protest at Creech Air Force Base, Indian Springs, Nevada about 7:15 am by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and assisted by Creech AF Security personal. Reaching new heights of absurdity and pettiness, as absurd as banning books and calling librarians pedophiles, George was arrested for drawing a barely visible chalk peace sign on a large boulder near the gate of Creech AFB. He was charged with defacing public property, was cited and released. Karen Pettit of Las Vegas and Sylver Pondolfino, Staten Island, NY were arrested for blocking traffic at the gate and approximately 7:45 pm. A driver wearing a USAF flight suit lurching forward with her vehicle made contact with Karen. No injuries resulted. Karen Pettit and Sylver Pondolfino were taken to Clark County jail in Las Vegas. This action was part of the Nevada Desert Experience Sacred Peace Walk. We will continue walking to the Nevada National Security Site with more civil resistance probable on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. A video of the arrest is at this link.
