What's happening at this event? Last minute change does not inspire confidence.

fyi, the ut thing at 5pm friday consists of a literature table. here's the email from the person organizing that one. go figure. My name is Alyssa Kelley, I'm the organizer of the climate strike happening at 5pm on Sept. 20 at the University of Toledo! I wanted to make a clarification about the expectations of this event. Because we are on a college campus, we are not going to be protesting or marching or chanting or anything of the like. Instead, our idea as an organization was to inform our college community about climate change and the actions they can take. We will have a small table with information set up outside and possibly some food. I'm sorry for any miscommunication - if you're interested in attending something more along the lines of a strike, I encourage you to check out this event happening earlier in the day: https://actionnetwork.org/events/toledo-ohio-event-1-the-grownups-join-the-youth-2? Thank you very much, please let me know if you have any questions! Alyssa Kelley

It reads, ‘We came in peace for all Mankind.’ As the United States was dropping seven and a half megatons of conventional explosives on small nations in Southeast Asia, we congratulated ourselves on our humanity. We would harm no one on a lifeless rock.” — Carl Sagan
