What an atrocity this system is!  We should all be on the streets protesting the horrific system.

I am aware of the case of a Palestinian activist, Ramea  Odeh who has just been sentenced to 18 yrs in US prison, $1,000 fine, then deportation.  

Her crime:  checking NO on the form when applying for citizenship, where it asked if she had ever committed a crime.

She thought it meant a crime in the US.  She had left Palestine after being let out of an Israeli jail on suspicion of being an accomplice in a terrorist attack, and was later released.

However, in Israeli prison she was raped and beaten, forcing an admission of guilt from her.  This information was not allowed to be brought up in her recent trial in Detroit.  (BTW the judge was 

a Jewish activist for Israel.)  In spite of a huge protest from busloads of people, she was found guilty and is out on bond awaiting an appeal.  

Talk about injustice!  Minorities from anywhere are especially vulnerable.
