Hi Valerie,
Sorry this message is coming to you so late. I'm able to answer your question about a prayer service:
It will be on Sat. the 27th. from 6:30 - 7::15 pm at Sacred Heart Church, 509 Oswald St. on the East Side, only about 3 blocks from Helping Hands of Toledo where the marchers will be eating. The service will feature representatives from the Budhist, Unitarian, Muslim, Protestant and Catholic traditions, who will reflect on their tradition's commitment to caring for the environment. We have yet to hear back from a Jewish and Baptist invitees.
The Service will be followed by a panel or roundtable discussion which will be facilitated by the local planners/NWOPC folks. I don't believe they've settled on an exact focus for this as yet. They had originally suggested having the panel & prayer service flow right out of the 5 PM dinner gathering.. Our group went ahead and scheduled the Church site instead since Helping Hands is not handicapped accessable, has no microphones, is smaller, etc.
Regarding your second question: WILL THE MARCH BE GOING TO COLLINGWOOD GARDENS, DOWNTOWN OR BOTH, I cannot answer that since the local planners/NWOPC people are making that decision. Terry Lodge might know by now, or Doug Jambard-Sweet.
Your article was very informative, and looked good to me.
Thanks, Valerie,
Tom
