STOP FLOCK'S SURVEILLANCE EXPANSION INTO TOLEDO SCHOOLS

Toledo City Council delayed the vote on connecting participating schools’ exterior cameras to the Flock system and adding more cameras near schools and busy intersections in District 2. THE VOTE Will Occur THIS TUESDAY August 25th.

URGE COUNCIL TO VOTE “NO” ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE 0-307-26 (Martinez). Please email Council by Tomorrow August 24^th with your position.

Dear Members of Toledo City Council,

Please vote “NO” on proposed Ordinance 0-307-26 regarding the use and expansion of Flock cameras until:

- Independent auditing and regular public reporting are established and shared with the public.

- A public hearing is held that meaningfully engages residents, including immigrant families.

- Relevant City policies and school agreements are completed and made available for public review.

- Participating schools adopt appropriate policies governing access, privacy, data use, complaints, and misuse.

- A working group reviews the proposal and submits its initial recommendations.
