My apologies for assigning reading, but the essay below is central to understanding what is about to happen to Gaza.
Gaza will be ground completely to rubble in the next four to 8 weeks, amid the mass butchery from shootings, bombings and starvation of thousands more Palestinians. This is the final stretch. There is increasing global outrage - though not among politicians -- and plans are coming together to build a Gaza Riviera. Trump signalled Israel on Friday to "finish the job."
Massive profiteering from genocide and takeover is coming out of the shadows now.
In the below article, Jonathan Cook, award winning Brit journo, exposes the vast disaster capitalist machinery being readied to pave over the vast burial trenches of Gaza (although probably the corpses will be dug up and become foundational material for the large artificial island planned for disposal of the rubble of Gaza).
Mature warmaking industries in the US and other countries and eager construction contractors are planning billions in investments on Gaza's Mediterranean coast. The last 21 months have made clear that you can exterminate 400,000 Palestinians on Youtube and have nearly the whole planetary political class shrug and turn away. And you can make a ton of money with normalized mass death and removal.
The profitable genocide of populations considered marginal is achieving widespread recognition. It's indeed the face of the future.
