CA/IL/NJ: CAIR, Maria Kari Law Office to Announce Lawsuit Against State Department for Abandoning Palestinian-Americans in Gaza Genocide

On Thursday, Dec. 19, the Sacramento, Chicago and New Jersey chapters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), along with the Law Office of Maria Kari, will announce the filing of a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of State for failing to evacuate American citizens, American legal residents, and the family members of Americans trapped under Israeli bombardment in the Gaza genocide.

The CAIR news conferences will include family members of those trapped in the Gaza genocide.

CAIR Says Biden Admin Responsible for Israeli ‘Line of Corpses’ Kill Zone in Gaza

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

“Killing anyone, including children, in this death zone - and then celebrating the slaughter and leaving the bodies to be devoured by dogs – is a sickening reminder of the far-right Israeli government’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.

“The Israelis soldiers are themselves openly admitting they are committing and celebrating war crimes, yet the Biden administration ignores U.S. law and turns a blind eye to the atrocities, and instead rushes weapons to Israel and excuses its crimes against humanity. This slaughter on an industrial scale has also been enabled by Congress and largely ignored by the media.

“Israel's genocide has been supported and excused by the Biden administration, which now bears responsibility for all of its brutal actions.”
