Three hours ago Netanyahu's office scuttled everything you've been hearing about a "surprising" breakthrough in negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza, well, actually, nothing has changed except the White House's ability to get a few fake optics for attempting to broker a settlement. Here're Netanyahu's terms of settlement. Looks like the next stop is Lebanon.

Amid reports of progress in talks with Hamas, PMO releases Israeli conditions for truce deal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published a list of five Israeli conditions for the deal with Hamas, amid reports of progress made in the negotiations over the last days.

In the announcement made by the Prime Minister's Office, it said that "the prime minister continues to demand the principles already agreed upon by Israel: Deal must enable Israel to return to combat until the war objectives are achieved; Arms smuggling from Egypt to Hamas is not permitted; Thousands of armed terrorists will not be allowed to return to northern Gaza; Hamas must return the maximum amount of live hostages to Israel."

Opposition Leader Yair Lapid commented, saying: "What good does this do? We are at a crucial moment in the negotiations, the lives of the hostages depends on this, why make such taunting announcements? How does this help the process?"
