To summarize:

    > Acc to Col McGregor, there is a US Navy carrier battle group -- something like 7000 sailors and marines -- sailing to the eastern Mediterranean to back up Israel because the Biden administration will not intervene and block Israel from invading Lebanon. McGregor says the Navy will arrive either Monday or Tuesday of this coming week and seems to think Israel will invade Lebanon very soon after that. I don't know if he's referring to the carrier group headed by the USS Eisenhower, which has been in the Red Sea for months, or whether a second battle group is sailing in from elsewhere.  The Eisenhower group has been firing rockets and bombing Yemen to quell the Houthis. and I would imagine their orders would be to continue repulsing Houthi attacks on shipping. If they are moved into the Mediterranean, that would be a warning to Iran to stay on the sidelines if Israel invades Lebanon.

   > UAE and other countries are warning their nationals to get out of Lebanon fast. If Israel invades that will tie up  more resources and military attention of the United States, it seems possible that Russia will make its move to take over Kiev and the Ukraine war will blow sky high. Russia will take advantage of US inattention and its limited ability to bolster Ukraine further.

    > Netanyahu is completely aligned with the absolute worst right wing elements in Israel, and the excuse for the invasion of Lebanon will be that Hezbollah must move back some 5 miles or so away from the border with Israel so that Israeli citizens can return to their homes along the border, which they evacuated from last October.

    >  The Netanyahu/Smotrich/Ben-Gvir warmongers in the Israeli cabinet have seen to it that vigilante mobs of illegal settlers are prepared to start concerted warfare in the West Bank. Smotrich, a member of the cabinet and an illegal settler himself, has pushed for the Knesset to create a "civilian administration" of the West Bank -- in other words, creation of an Israeli civilian agency, using the IDF as police, to simply take over and manage the West Bank. This is illegal on several levels but is aimed at completing the annexation of the West Bank into Israel. Remember, the settlers are  mostly IDF reservists because of the compulsory Israeli draft requirement. So Israeli vigilante mobs will proceed as paramilitaries to bomb, shoot and evict Palestinians in the West Bank, as well as to seal off and go into serious battle mode against large Palestinian refugee populations in places like Jenin. The settler mobs are quite well-armed by the IDF and have been expanding their violence in the past several months.

    > Amos Hochstein, the "special envoy" of President Biden who was tasked supposedly with going to Israel to defuse the Israeli impulse to invade Lebanon, instead stated on Wednesday that  the US is fully behind Israel if they invade Labanon.

    >  Col. McGregor says he "would not be surprised if Israel uses nuclear weapons against Hezbollah."
