Dear Khani,
Thank you to everyone who joined our first Gaza Summer School Session! And thank you to Moataz and Julia who taught us invaluable lessons on disrupting Congress at home! We also heard from CODEPINK National Co-director, Danaka, and CODEPINK Palestine Campaigner, Nour, as they shared resources on teach-ins and the importance of community actions. You can find all resources shared and a recording of our first session on our Gaza Summer School Resource Page.
We cannot wait to see at our next Gaza Summer School Session: Building Resistance By Cultivating Community. CODEPINK’s Co-founder, Jodie Evans and Local Peace Economy Coordinator, Emily Franko, will teach us all about the Local Peace Economy! We saw the power of the local peace economy at the student encampments — all the mutual aid, skillsharing, art spaces, medical tents, and the many other ways people kept each other safe and well while there. These are real skills rooted in ways of being fostered in the local peace economy. Come learn how to take your power back from the war economy by cultivating community as an act of resistance at Gaza Summer School!
