Have you made your plans to be in Chicago to join Eyewitness Palestine for our first ever Witnessing Palestine Through Stories, Flavor, and Culture on Sunday, June 2nd? If you haven't yet, make sure you purchase your tickets today so you don't miss out on an incredible line-up of speakers and performers! Highlights of the evening will include performances by Palestinian artists, Nibal Malshi and Shadia Mansour, a report back by our staff and doctors from the recent medical mission to Gaza (March 2024) and speakers including Mariam Barghouti, a journalist from the West Bank, Alana Hadid, Ahmad Abuznaid, Jenan Matari and more. | Nibal Malshi is a Palestinian singer and performance artist whose beautiful voice carries the history and culture of Palestine to audiences across the U.S. Malshi is committed to using her talents to support the causes she cares about, and sees her creativity as an opportunity to highlight important social issues. In an interview with Canvas Rebel she says, "Using my platform for philanthropy, I strive to bring attention to important social issues and contribute to positive change. Whether through benefit concerts or collaborative projects, I seek to leverage my artistic career as a messenger of peace, compassion, and a force for good." You can check out some of Malshi's talents here but it won't be the same as hearing those melodic vocals live at our Witnessing Palestine 2024 event so buy your tickets now! |

Eyewitness Palestine is excited to host the Executive Director of the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, Ahmad Abuznaid. Abuznaid has been a partner and colleague in past work for Eyewitness Palestine and we're very much looking forward to working with him again at our upcoming benefit. Prior to joining USCPR, Ahmad co-founded the Florida-based Dream Defenders after the killing of Trayvon Martin, serving as Legal & Policy Director and COO during his time there. Ahmad went on to lead the National Network for Arab American Communities as the Executive Director from 2017 to 2019. |

| Eyewitness Palestine is also proud to welcome Miriam Barghouti, who will be joining our benefit all the way from Palestine! Barghouti is a Palestinian-American writer, blogger, and researcher who lives in Ramallah, occupied West Bank. She has been a relentless voice for Palestine throughout her career, but especially in the past seven months as she reports on both what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank. Barghouti puts her life at risk everyday as a face-forward reporter living under Israeli occupation. Nonetheless, threats and fear don't stop Barghouti for delivering the truth of what Palestinians experience daily. Don't miss her powerful words and buy your tickets now! |
