Thanks Susan.
I have a few suggestions for further protest gatherings :
First: Notify the TV stations of the protests, in order to reach a much larger audience by having it on the news and in the Blade.
Second: Have the protestors stay at the four corners of the streets, instead of marching. One activist told me she arrived late and saw no one on the corners, and thought is must’ve been cancelled.
We had all started to march down Sylvania (where there was hardly any traffic, btw). The marching, though impressive, was quite difficult for us Oldies and for the little kids as well, though visibly wonderful.
Otherwise, the Solidarity was overwhelming. I heard only one negative voice come from a speeding car: The Jerk screamed out: “Kill them all!”
And blessings to the great Ones who gave up so much of their time and efforts to raise awareness and call for an end to genocide.
Gratefully,
Anne Abowd
