Well said, Phung! I did call her Toledo office a few minutes ago and talked to an aide named David. While calling her 'present' vote a step in the right direction, I asked him to tell her we'll be protesting in Fremont this afternoon, saying Ceasefore NOW in Gaza. I said, do you or Marcy believe we in Fremont are antisemitic when we hold those signs? I wanted clarification about that "present" vote. He said my phone was breaking up, but he would relay the message. lol.

She voted present and not against! I am not going to thank her. If she had voted yes then all her credibility is destroyed! That’s the reward she gains (not losing credibility).

Yesterday the House voted on a resolution saying that being anti-Zionist is anti-semitism. H.R. 894

Incredibly, Marcy voted "present" -- possibly she has finally reacted to the high pressure we've been exerting on her locally to condemn the genocide. 92 Dems voted "present," 13 Dems and 1 Repub voted against.

I'm wondering if a message thanking her for taking that step, saying we continue to ask that she condemn the invasion and demand a permanent ceasefire, might be in order. It is of course a tiny step, but . . . .
