NWOPC friends--
Little did we know when we planned our rally and visit to Marcy Kaptur's office to oppose war with Iran, that a "Gulf of Tonkin" incident would happen that very day! It's paramount that we follow up on our action with emails to her office.
Last Thursday around 30 of us gathered in the rain outside Marcy Kaptur's office to rally against war with Iran. We then went inside to her office to deliver letters asking her to cosponsor H.R. 2354 Prevention of Unconstitutional War with Iran Act of 2019. Her aide David Zavac repeated her position: she does not sponsor bills that may "make generals second guess their decisions."
Her answer dismays us! If you participated in this rally, we ask you to write her office, explaining the reasons for your participation. If you did not attend, we ask you to write in support of the rally's objectives.
If you do not live in District 9, her web contact form will not allow you to email her.
