From: m.otaibi70@PROTECTED Members and friends of the NWOPC will hold a demonstration on Sunday, Jan 14 on the corner of Sylvania and Talmadge to mark the 16th anniversary of the opening of the notorious detention facility at Guantanamo Bay. Please join us to call for an end to the indefinite detention, the immediate transfer of the cleared detainees, and the closure of the barbaric prison.  Guantanamo Bay is a symbol of our nation's use of torture and violation of human rights. Of the 41 people still held there, most have never received a trial or been charged with a crime, even after over a decade of imprisonment. Unfortunately, Trump has said he plans to send more people to be held without trial in Guantanamo. If he does, it may make it impossible to ever close the prison at Guantanamo. We must raise an outcry against this immoral plan and send our message to the President and Congress: close Guantanamo now!
