First of all, I would like to wish you a happy mother's day on Sunday. I know most of you will be busy with family on this special day, but I would like to invite you to celebrate with the NWOPC the original mother's day tradition. In 1870, Julia Warde Howe wrote Mother's Day Proclamation, an Appeal to womanhood throughout the world to rise up and demand the end of wars. Let's reclaim the original mother's day. A day for PEACE, a day against violence in all its forms.
Please join us at the corner of Secor and Central on Sunday May8th from noon to 1:30 pm to display and reafirm this great message of peace.
Don't forget to wear black.
