Hello all
It is a NWOPC tradition, to celebrate the original Mother's Day by displaying the "appeal to womanhood" written by Julia Ward Howe. Please mark your calenders and note the location change to the corner of Secor and Central. Please come join us and invite your friends. We need at least 10 people to carry the Mother's Day Proclamation signs.
"In 1870 Julia Ward Howe wrote a proclamation putting out a call for mothers and women around the world to rise up and demand peace thus beginning the tradition of Mothers Day. NWOPC celebrates Mothers Day by standing in solidarity with women around the world who follow the origional Mothers Day tradition."
