Hi Jeff and Karen,

I'm checking with you as reps of the steering committee to ask if nwopc might be interested in hosting a speaker on drones in Toledo.  We will have Brian Terrell speaking on Thursday, Oct. 8 in Fremont.  He could be available the day before or after that event.  Brian is an anti-drone activist with Voices for Creative Nonviolence.  He is co-director of VCNV along with Kathy Kelly who has spoken in Toledo on several occasions.  Brian served 6 months in a federal prison camp for coming to the gate of Whiteman Air Force Base to deliver a letter to the base commander condemning the drones that are piloted from that base.

Brian lives on a Catholic Worker farm in Maloy, Iowa.  He has visited Afghanistan to work with the Afghan Peace Volunteers and to learn about victims of US drone warfare.  He has also visited Bahrain.  He was arrested with me in January in the Senate and is a member of Witness Against Torture.
