Thanks Trudy,
Zionists have become threatened by the massive movement in the universities —namely Students for Justice in Palestine—and the student efforts there for divestment from companies that supply weapons to Israel. As you know, students at Northwestern, UT and Stanford have succeeded in passing the divestment proposal by their student governments—a real victory—but extremely intimidating and disturbing to the other side, which has always been fearful of such activity in learning institutions and the media, for obvious reasons. Zionists commonly influence the university administrations by threats of withholding financial support, and it has worked: there are many examples of “dis-inviting” incoming profs. for merely making statements of support for Pal. You’ve probably read about them— a disgusting situation.
In case some of our readers are not aware: a few months ago, in spite of much mischief from the Jewish Federation of Toledo, the UT Student Gvt. voted 21-3 to divest. Our own Terry Lodge was instrumental in making this happen. It was quite a victory, considering all the stumbling blocks put in their way by the Jewish Federation backing Hillel. Of course, nothing of these shenanigans got in the Blade. They barely covered the divestment at all.
This reaction of the Zionists (story below) threatening young people trying to expose the situation, is typical of their style of intimidation-- repulsive indeed-- and will hopefully backfire as so many of their unsavory tactics have in the past. Noam Chomsky says there is hope for change in US policy with the surge of current student activism on the campuses.

Shadowy Web Site Creates Blacklist of Pro-Palestinian Activists
" A new
website
is publicizing the identities of pro-Palestinian student activists to
prevent them from getting jobs after they graduate from college. But the
website is keeping its own backers’ identity a secret.
“It is your duty to ensure that today’s radicals are not tomorrow’s employees,” a female narrator intones in a slick video
posted
to the website’s YouTube account."
