Hi "people"!
Not everyone fritters their life away on Facebook, so here are several photos from Wednesday's NWOPC Earth Day observance.
Starting at the end! Campus minister Dave Montgomery and several of his students came out of the Interfaith Center to join us for the tree planting. Dave says when he told the students what we would be doing and why we would be doing it, they applauded. Seeds and trees are the way to the modern student's heart!
Back to the beginning of our adventure: Terry addresses the faithful in front of the ROTC building. Several ROTC students step around us to enter. A couple of young men join us to listen. A young woman across the street, looking perplexed, calls out to us, "Why?" We answer, "Earth Day!" Her face lights up, she starts taking photos on her phone, and then she hollers at us that we are awesome and continues on her way! (No, it's not the 60's anymore...)
More of the faithful...Jean Cossey came all the way from Wyandot County to join us. We also enjoyed talking with Paul Helbling from Liberty Center, but I regret I didn't capture him on camera. Steve Miller gets my vote for best sign!
Our hardworking diggers and planters...
