As a back-up plan to the Teledyne/Bowman Park action on Earth Day, I contacted David Montgomery at UT's Campus Ministry Office which is adjacent to the campus behind Schoerlig's grocery.  They have a house there with a sizeable yard.  He will ask the manager of the property whether it would be OK for us to plant our symbolic tree there after walking from the ROTC building.  He was receptive to the idea, and will get back with me as soon as he has a response.  He also said that the regular potluck meeting of the student group is at 7 PM that same evening, and that they might be interested in participating with us.

I did this as an alternative to contacting Corpus Christie University parish. A Pax Christi member there said that we would not likely get a decision on the tree planting in time for Earth Day.
