I talked with Amjad at the demo yesterday and this is what we came up with. This meeting will also include members of Students for Justice in Palestine and the ISO (which seem to be much the same people.)
Strategy meeting for further Palestine Solidarity actions is this Thursday July 31 at 7:15. It follows this event which begins at 6:30 pm. https://www.facebook.com/events/535733029881868/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming
For those who don't have facebook the event is:JUL 31, 6;30 p.m.2942 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43613Description:
In this most recent siege on Gaza more than 700 Palestinians have been killed. The UN estimates that 80% of those killed were civilians. In the face of this unconscionable Israeli brutality it is more important than ever to build a vigorous Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement to demand an end to Israeli apartheid, much like the campaigns that were launched against South Africa in the apartheid era.
ISO Toledo will be discussing an article by Sherry Wolf, "What's Behind the Rise of BDS," which gives a history of the nine-year-old BDS movement, analyzes the changes in public opinion within this time, and provides some ideas for building on this rapidly growing movement.
We will be meeting at Al Habib Market, in the dining area located on the right-hand side when you enter the store.
