Eighteen Years of War in Afghanistan

Eighteen years ago the US backed by coalition forces launched a war in Afghanistan. George W Bush launched the war and kept it going throughout his two terms, Barak Obama, after eight years of empty promises of ending the conflict, passed it on to Donald Trump. Two years into the Trump administration, the seemingly endless gifts to the profiteers in the Military Industrial Media Congressional Intelligence Complex still enjoy the lavish profits of a war with no end in sight.

Combined with the fact that the Pentagon is the world's largest institutional consumer of oil and emitter of greenhouse gases, while it's budgit consumes enough to fund every public social program we strive for, it's appropriate to publicly question why we, as public citizens continue to allow it.

Show up at the corner of Secor and Central at noon to voice our opposition to this and all the other wars of agression and choice.
